Who Are We?

The Good Boys Foundation was founded on the belief that no veteran should struggle alone in their transition back to civilian life. Our story is one of resilience, shared experiences, and a commitment to giving back to those who have served.

Our Story

The journey of The Good Boys Foundation began with Ben Williams, a dedicated soldier who was on the Special Forces selection path when tragedy struck—he broke both legs. Forced to leave the military, Ben found himself facing a challenge he never expected: navigating civilian life. The structured, mission-driven world of the military was gone, and for years, he struggled to find his place in the world outside of service.

A few years later, in Greenville, SC—Ben’s hometown—he met Schuyler Seyfert. Though Schuyler had spent his life in the civilian world, he deeply related to the military mindset. Having played high-level hockey and dedicated himself to self-development, he understood discipline, teamwork, and resilience—values ingrained in military life. Through their conversations, they realized how much veterans and civilians could learn from each other and how important it was to bridge the gap between the two worlds.

During this time, Hunter was finishing his time as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army. Hunter and Ben grew up together and are the best of friends. Part of this vision stemmed from Ben's desire to take care of his childhood friend when he got out, ensuring he was ready to transition and spared the pain and struggles Ben had faced. Hunter had always supported Ben through his transition, sharing his passion for helping others find purpose and stability. His unwavering belief in The Good Boys Foundation’s mission helped solidify the foundation's commitment to creating real change for veterans.

It was through their shared passion for growth and business that Ben crossed paths with Tyler Woodall. Tyler, a successful entrepreneur, met Ben and saw his potential. He invited Ben to become a partner in his company, C4 Solutions. This opportunity propelled both Ben and Schuyler into a position where they could not only stabilize their own lives but also turn their focus outward—toward helping others.

From their own experiences of struggle and triumph, The Good Boys Foundation was born. Their mission became clear: to support military veterans in their transition to civilian life by providing housing, transportation, job training, and personalized coaching. They understand firsthand the challenges that come with leaving the structured military world and want to ensure that no veteran has to face them alone.

Today, The Good Boys Foundation stands as a beacon of hope and support, proving that through community, mentorship, and opportunity, every veteran can find their new mission in life.
